Al Sharpton, President of National Action Network (NAN), and MSNBC host,will speak at a special service in Waterbury, Connecticut, on Tuesday December 18th for the victims and families of the Newtown shootings. Local Connecticut officials and civil rights leaders will participate.
From the pulpit, Rev. Sharpton will call on officials and members of the community to get serious about gun control. Rev. Sharpton will speak at 8:00 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church, located at 147 Pearl Street in Waterbury, Connecticut.
Rev. Sharpton will also be joined by NAN board member Rev. Dr. Boise Kimber, President of the Connecticut State Missionary Baptist Convention, and other clergy, activists and community members.
